Neuquén
With more than 1,000 hectares of vineyards, this province is exclusively devoted to top quality wine production. Wineries have invested in state-of-the-art technology and architecture.
This caused several winery projects to arise, all of them oriented to a vision of the industry as a whole, where tourism and gastronomy naturally merge in a “road of wine”.
At San Patricio del Chañar, 60kms to the north of the City of Neuquen, these vineyards found ideal conditions to grow and develop.
With an average annual rainfall of 180 mm, a temperature range of 20ºC., constant sun exposure and a mild breeze, grapes get optimum sanity conditions, a good color and aroma concentration, a slow tannin evolution and a perfect level of acidity, to finally converge in top quality wines.
Wines from this region present a great color concentration, and are really fruity and full-bodied. These wines have great personality, and each variety offers different but very distinctive characteristics.
Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillón found in Neuquén an ideal terroir to grow. |
