With record participation, Wines of Argentina will be present at ProWein 2018

Forming part of the strategy of the institution and working jointly work with the national government to promote Argentine wine in the world.

Wines of Argentina, the institution responsible for the promotion of the “Vino Argentino" brand in the world, together with the Argentine Agency of Investments and International Trade, will once again be present at ProWein in Düsseldorf, Germany from 18 to 20 March. It is an excellent opportunity to strengthen commercial relations with the importers and distributors of the most important wines in Europe and the world.

This year Argentine participation will be up 48% on the previous edition, setting a record with more than 140 wineries in the national pavilion or with their own stand. This success is the result of strategic work carried out between Wines of Argentina and various government entities, which also foresee the presence at other international fairs such as Vinexpo NY, Vinexpo HK and Chengdu as part of an institutional campaign to promote different markets for Argentinian wines.

Alberto Arizu, president of Wines of Argentina, said that "the work WofA is doing is aimed at continuing to look for opportunities for Argentine wine to reach the whole world and for the most important importers and distributors to know the quality of our main export product" .

ProWein represents a great opportunity for Argentinian wineries to present their products to more than 58,000 professionals, generating recognition and raising the perception of consumers about our flagship product.

The constant evolution of Argentine viticulture will be something that Wines of Argentina will try to reflect in this edition. Thanks to the systematic study of terroirs, a new generation of producers has initiated a regionalisation process that unites unrivalled terroirs with classic and native varietals, combining traditional practices with cutting-edge technology.
