To take place in Bogotá, Colombia, between October 22 and 24, with Argentine wines being paired in a series of events rewarding the best of Latin American gastronomy.

Wines of Argentina, the entity responsible for the global promotion of Argentine wine will be the exclusive sponsor of wines at the next 4 editions of Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants, a ranking of the most important Latin American restaurants, to be held in Bogotá, Colombia, between October 22 and 24.

The full program attracts renowned chefs, restauranteurs, sommeliers, the media and celebrities from the gastronomic industry throughout the region and other corners of the world. They will gather in Bogotá to celebrate the vibrant regional gastronomy and its varied cuisines.

The activities of this 5th edition will begin on Sunday October 22nd with the Academy Dinner, which brings together its top 20 members. On Monday the 23rd there will be a live discussion forum #50BestTalks and then the Chefs' Feast, which will be attended by 175 Latin American chefs. Lastly, the gala awards will be held on Tuesday 24th, and is considered the Oscars of the restaurant world.

This agreement made with Wines of Argentina will see wines from different Argentine wineries being presented and tasted including: Casa Bianchi, Familia Zuccardi, Rutini Wines, Navarro Correas, Finca Las Moras, Finca Sophenia, Bodega Luigi Bosca / Arizu Family, Trapiche, Susana Balbo Wines, Tapiz, El Esteco, Finca La Luz, Los Toneles, Terrazas de los Andes and Trivento.

Latin America's 50 Best brings together the best restaurants in the region; it's a gold ticket that we're not going to miss out on", said Alberto Arizu, President of Wines of Argentina.

In 2018 the event and its activities will once again be hosted by Colombia, while the 2019 and 2020 editions will be held in Argentina.


The annual list of Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants was first launched in 2013 by the William Reed Media Group, which has also been promoting "The World's 50 Best Restaurants" and "Asia's 50 Best Restaurants" since 2002. William Reed Media Group is solely responsible for the organisation of the awards, the collation of votes and the preparation of the list.

Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants is a snapshot of the opinions and experiences of 252 experts from the restaurant industry in Latin America. It is a globally recognised gastronomic event that showcases the most important trends and highlights great restaurants from all corners of the region. What constitutes the "best" is left to the judgment of these reliable and experienced experts. Since there is no predetermined scheme of parameters, the result is governed by strict voting rules. The voting system and results are subject to the independent adjudication of Deloitte's globally recognised professional consulting service.
