Following the course of the first half of the year, Wines of Argentina, the institution responsible for promoting the brand “Vino Argentino" in the world, continues to demonstrate its commitment to increasing the presence of Argentine wine in different world markets.

During the first half of the year, Wines of Argentina participated in various wine activities around the world, aimed at consumers, trade and the press, which allowed many Argentine wineries to showcase their products, generating recognition and raising consumers awareness of Argentine wine.

"Wines of Argentina has been serving the industry since 1993. In this new management role that I’m honoured to be in charge of, our main focus will continue to be to position the brand Vino Argentino ever higher in the world and put the country back into a leading role. The challenge ahead is huge. The first six months of 2016 were very successful. We will continue working during the next semester with even more productivity, "said Alberto Arizu, president of Wines of Argentina.

Malbec World Day deserves special attention. Now in its sixth year under the theme "Celebrating a classic" various activities and events in 50 countries around the world were developed with the participation of more than one thousand wineries, reaching 10 million people through media campaigns. Malbec World Day is a global initiative that seeks to position Argentine Malbec in the world and celebrate the success of our wine industry. Since its first edition, on April 17, 2011, this global tribute has achieved resounding success thanks to the support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Argentine Wine Corporation, within the Strategic Plan Viticultural Argentina 2020.

It is also important to mention that, after a long process, Wines of Argentina has acquired ISO 9001 certification, which reflects the efforts and commitment of the brand with the industry, generating continuous improvement in quality. Committing themselves to this new challenge, Wines of Argentina continues to work towards continuous improvement in the wine industry.
