Wines of Argentina receive ISO certification 9001:2008

Wines of Argentina, the organisation responsible for the brand VINO ARGENTINO in the world, since February has ISO certification 9001:2008

After several months of work and after having met the requirements set by the Standard, Wines of Argentina, the institution responsible for promoting the brand “vino Argentino" in the world, has obtained the ISO 9001: 2008, awarded by Bureau Veritas Argentina SA

The Standard is built upon eight fundamental principles of quality management, embedded into its various requirements:

  • Leadership
  • Involvement of people
  • Process approach
  • Systems approach to management
  • Continual improvement
  • Factual approach to decision making
  • Mutually beneficial supplier relationships

"We received our certificate after a long process that required the effort and commitment of all members of our organisation," said Mario Giordano, the General Manager. "This is a very important milestone in the history of Wines of Argentina and adds to a number of changes and improvements made in recent years, reaffirming once again our commitment to the industry," he said.

For Wines of Argentina to obtain ISO 9001 certification is an achievement to share with all its members. It is an opportunity to generate greater value in all our activities and reflect its commitment to the continuous improvement of its processes, the modernisation of management and quality control.

The certification obtained points towards quality in the provision of services, the generation of statistics and market information, the communication and dissemination of activities linked to partner companies, market training, the management of visual communication of wineries at trade fairs, the handling of samples for trade fairs and tastings, business rounds between buyers and sellers and research into WofA branding.

Once again, Wines of Argentina stands out as a pioneer in relation to other Wines of, of the world, this time certifying the procedures that make the organisation what it is and the pursuit of continuous improvement for the good of its partners.
