WOFA PROMOTES CULTURE AND ARGENTINE WINE WITH ITS "CHINA ROADSHOW"
For one week, three non-traditional Chinese cities were chosen for the promotion of Argentine wines, discovering Argentina through various cultural elements taken from all corners of our country. The event was attended by 30 national wineries featuring over 200 labels.
Between 7-10 of July, 30 Argentine wineries travelled around China on a new tour that took them to three non-traditional Chinese cities, offering attendees a journey through the culture, history, gastronomy and wine of Argentina, with more than 200 wines on offer.
The event took place in three exclusive hotels in the cities of Xiamen, Changsha and Qingdao. In each city the event attracted over 300 people and among other things, guests had fun with a themed photo booth with the 10 things you should know about our country, its icons, and images of the the most important wine areas, past and present.
There was also a masterclass of Argentine wines led by Maxime Lu, founder and Senior Educator at WineSchool.cn, whose aim was to educate the audience about the diversity of varietals and regions of Argentina. Those attending also had the opportunity to taste and try their hands at making chimichurri in a cooking class, along with a tasting of the classic empanadas of our country. The finale was a massive tasting of more than 200 labels presented by the 30 Argentine wineries that attended the event.
