Winefuture is an initiative developed by The Wine Academy, an organization founded by Pancho Campo – the first Spanish person to obtain the title of Master of Wine –, which will be held this year on November 6, 7 and 8.

The first edition of this congress took place in Rioja, Spain, in 2009, and was aimed at creating a forum to analyze and assess the challenges facing the global wine industry.

Among its attendees will be the world’s most prestigious and influential wine experts, such as Robert Parker and Jancis Robinson, and other personalities of international stature like the moviemaker Francis Ford Coppola, who will be the key speaker, and Robert Joseph, Gary Vaynerchuk, Miguel Torres, Michel Rolland, Angelo Gaja, Michel Bettane, John Kapon, Yang Li and Debra Meiburg.

Argentina will not go unnoticed: Alberto Arizu, President of Wines of Argentina, is one of the guest speakers invited to participate in the round of talks. Jose Manuel Ortega Gil-Fournier, owner of the renowned Mendocinian winery O. Fournier, will also be lecturing. In addition, British Master of Wine Jancis Robinson will be talking about an Argentine wine during her Grand Tasting in Hong Kong (Catena Alta Malbec by Catena Zapata, harvest 2000).

In representation of Wines of Argentina, Alberto Arizu will speak about the challenges that the New World countries are facing in the current market, about their marketing strategies, and about the opportunities and challenges lying ahead in the Asian market.
