Great Argentine Wine Festival – Latin America 2009

The 2009 Great Argentine Wine Festival was held in the Colombian and Peruvian markets with great success.

The 2009 Great Argentine Wine Festival was held in the Colombian and Peruvian markets with great success.

In the two countries, each festival brought together more than 600 people, including wine traders, winemakers, importers, journalists and qualified consumers who are listed in the databases of clubs, hotels, supermarkets and credit cards.

The Argentine Ambassador to Colombia, Martín Balza, gave the opening speech at the festival in Bogota. In Lima, it was the Argentine Ambassador to Peru, Dario Alessandro, who opened the festival. Representatives of the business sector, diplomacy, media and of the cultural and social life in Bogota and Lima attended the event.

The evident satisfaction of the group of importers and wineries who were present at the festival serves as evidence of the growing interest of the Colombian and Peruvian market in Argentine wineries.

The Argentine Wine and its Outstanding Awards  

Attendees had the opportunity to participate in important raffles thanks to the support of  Kitchen Aid, Imusa, Avianca and Amor Perfecto.

La Biferia restaurant in Colombia and Dionisos Wine Bar & Restaurant in Peru, among others, won awards at the festival. 

Sommeliers such as Viktor Kompanichenko in Peru and Jorge Espinosa and Ingrid Buitrago in Bogota also received awards.

At the end, the Congatango Show invited everybody to dance…
