Wines of Argentina at Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017

Wines of Argentina participated in the 19th edition of Vinexpo Bordeaux which took place in France from the 18th to 21st June 2017.

Wines of Argentina, the organisation responsible for the global image of Argentine wines, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Argentine Agency of Investments and International Trade, participated in the 19th edition of Vinexpo Bordeaux which took place in France from the 18th to 21st June 2017.

Vinexpo is a wine and spirits fair that offers a meeting place for industry professionals to be commercially linked. Held every two years, it brings together more than 2300 exhibitors from 40 producing countries and is visited by more than 45,000 attendees.

Wines of Argentina marked their presence with an institutional stand of 270m2 with excellent visual appeal that captured the attention of visitors. The renewed design reflected the diversity of terroirs and the richness of our country in line with the "Argentina Breaking New Ground" campaign. Wineries from all over Argentina exhibited their wines and came into contact with buyers from all over the world, creating opportunities for new sales and new markets.

Within the program of activities organised by Wines of Argentina, a variety of Masterclasses were developed with tastings conducted by the Best Sommelier of Argentina and the Americas, Paz Levinson. With huge interest the seminars approached the topics of Argentina's White Wine Revolution and presented the concept of Argentina beyond Malbec. In addition, the sommelier offered a tour of Gualtallary and Altamira, two subregions of the Uco Valley, with representatives from wineries including: Gabriel Bloise (Chakana), Sebastian Zuccardi (Zuccardi), Roberto Luka (Finca Sophenia), Edgardo del Pópólo and Jose Lovaglio (Susana Balbo Wines), Lucila Pescarmona (Lagarde), David Bonomi (Norton), Marcos Fernandez (Doña Paula).

The participation of WofA at Vinexpo Bordeaux contributed positively to the promotion and consolidation of the image of Argentine wines abroad.
