Wines of Argentina´s contest “Blogger of the Month” has a winner! Steve Shanahan (click on the banner to watch the video) is the blogger that participated in the creation of content about argentine wines. The prize for him? A trip to Argentina´s wine regions!

Steve (who´s blogs is named Groovy Wine Reviews) was selected for his posts of December (“Pascual Toso Rosé, Mendoza, Argentina” ) and May  (“The Two M’s of Argentinian Wine in Canada") about Argentine Wine

As a blogger Steve made a video with a few words on the contest and the prize:

“What an honour it is for myself and my wine and music matching blog bottleDJ.com to be  named the Wines of Argentina Blogger of the Month Grand Finale winner.  This event has offered arguably the best prize ever for a wine blogging competition, a one week stay in Mendoza and other wine making regions of Argentina with flights and lodging included.  With such a generous prize, many of the best wine bloggers threw their best efforts into the ring and I am honoured to have been made the final cut by such prestigious judges as 1 Wine Dude’s Joe Roberts, and sommeliers Paz Levinson and Aldo Graziani.

I think I set myself apart by expressing both the quality and the innovation of Argentinean wine makers and talked about that on bottleDJ and shared that with over 5000 readers in over 80 countries.  Wine consumers do use the web to learn about wine and I applaud Wines of Argentina for making an unprecedented effort to connect with the leading voices in the wine blogging community.

I look forward to sampling an even larger pool of Argentine wines and getting to see what inspires their innovation and dedication.  Maybe we can enjoy some music, some food and maybe one of my musical matches will end up fuelling the creative urge in Argentina.  Chances are I will simply look foolish dances the tango”.
