Argentinian Wine Reaches Out to the Bloggers of the World

Wines of Argentina has launched a competition that will get bloggers the world over talking about Argentinian wine

This edition of the ‘Blogger of the Month’ competition is designed for bloggers from the USA, Canada, the UK, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Colombia, with further competitions designed for more countries planned in the future. This year has an enticing prize: a trip to Argentina to tour the most important wine producing regions.

The competition works very simply. To take part, bloggers have to publish a post of no more than 2000 characters centred on their experience of Argentinian wine, showing some knowledge of its growth in the international market, how it is seen in the bloggers’ respective countries, their comments and opinions and anything else that adds originality to their posts. Once the post is published they should go to to enter it into the competition.

The theme will change each month, but it will always be related to the Argentinian wine experience. Each post will be judged by a distinguished jury, made up of Joe Roberts, a respected blogger who has been writing high quality original content on the world of wine for many years (his blog has become an industry favourite); Paz Levinson (winner of Best Argentine sommelier 2010) and Aldo Graziani, a sommelier and vice-president of the Argentinian Sommelier Association. Together, Levinson and Graziani publish the videoblog The prize for the winning blogger will be a trip to Argentina to tour the vineyards of Mendoza and one more wine-producing region, tasting the exquisite wines of our country and visiting some of its most important wine producers.

For this initiative, Wines of Argentina has the support of Wine Sur (www.winesur) as its media partner.

The competition will go on until the 1st August 2011 and the winner will be chosen from amongst the 8 winning bloggers (1 per month), on Monday, 6th September 2010. For more information visit:
