Stephen Tanzer 4th Comprehensive Tasting of Argentine wines for the International Wine Cellar. Conclusions

This important event, during which the prestigious taster and journalist Stephen Tanzer tasted Argentine wines, took place for the fourth consecutive year in New York.

The Fourth Comprehensive Tasting of Argentine Wines for the International Wine Cellar was carried out on November 29 and December 20 and 22, 2011, in New York. The tasting was conducted by the prestigious taster and journalist Stephen Tanzer, who tasted wines from the various Argentine winemaking provinces: Salta, La Rioja, San Juan, Mendoza, La Pampa, Neuquen and Rio Negro. 

The tasting attracted a large number of entries. The number of participating wineries was larger than in previous years and Tanzer was very positive about Argentine wines. He emphasized the need to work on promoting the different wine regions and subregions of our country for people to get better acquainted with the characteristics of each terroir and the way they are expressed in wines.
