TIERRAS ALTAS
Winery
The Vargas Arizu family has been tied to the world of winemaking for over half a century. Three generations have already dedicated their life to the work in the vineyards and winery, turning daily effort into a cult for wine that is nowadays evident in the quality of their products. In 1999, Tierras Altas winery was born with the aim of producing internationally renowned wines combining a new world spirit and Vargas Arizu family tradition. Tierras Altas is located at the foot of the Andes. Cold nights, altitude and cool winds make Luján de Cuyo an ideal terroir for growing Malbec grapes. Thaw water irrigates the vineyards, completing the natural process of this privileged land. The perfect combination of adequate natural features and craft work carried out by passionate human beings define the wines of Tierras Altas. The winery exclusively produces red wines, focusing on Malbec, the varietal that has become synonymous with Argentinian wines around the world. Grapes at their exact ripening point, extraordinary aromas, superb flavors and a worship of Malbec comprise the uniqueness of Tierras Altas. The winery invites customers to share its secret: a singular passion for the most Argentinian wine.
