Bodegas Etchart Cafayate was founded in 1850, is pioneer developing Calchaquíes Valleys' wine production and is the benchmark for the region. The winery is located at the foot of the Andes, over 1750 meters above sea level in one of the highest wine regions in the world. The combination of altitude, mild climate and characteristics of the Cafayate Valley result in aromatic wines of great concentration and color. In the latest years, Bodegas Etchart's wines were awarded in the most prestigiuos competitions around the globe. Arnaldo B is the iconic red wine that received most awards with 52 medals, including the London Wine Trade Fair (Bronze Medal), the Mondial de Bruxelles (Gold Medal) and the International Wine Challenge events of 2010 and Decanter Wine Awards 2010, in which achieved, two bronze medals in their latest editions. Cafayate Reserve and Grand Linaje ranges, have become two references from Salta, each being awarded the highest awards in competitions such us Argentina Wine Awards, considered the most important and prestigious competition in the country. Meanwhile, the Cafayate range collect 20 awards, in several international contests including the International Eastern Wine Competetition, Mondiales Selections from Canada, International Challenge Blaye Bourg de France, Paris Vinalies. Overall, Bodegas Etchart won over 500 awards, medals and prices.
