Finca SOPHENIA, www.sophenia.com, is one of the top quality wine producers from Argentina, which started to make wines in 2002 and succeeded to reach more than 27 countries. The product lines comprise: • ALTOSUR estate wines, varietals delivering and excellent quality price relation. • Finca SOPHENIA Reserve, estate varietals aged in French oak showing the complexity and character of the terroir of Tupungato, Mendoza. • SOPHENIA Synthesis single vineyard wines considered among the world icon wines. The wines have already been praised by the press worldwide, including Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, Wine & Spirits, Jancis Robinson, and many others. They gathered beautiful scores, “Editor’s Choice” and “Best Buys” in the recent press. Finca Sophenia’s President, Dr. Roberto Luka is the inspirer and the main shareholder, and holds a recognized background in the wine world. He was Managing Director of one of the main wine exporter of his country and he was President of Wines of Argentina. The in-house winemaker is Matías Michelini, recognized as the top young oenologist from Argentina. The prestigious French Winemaker Michel Rolland, collaborates as consultant. The vineyards are located at Tupungato, Mendoza, recognized by the press worldwide as the best wine growing region from Argentina. The estate by the Andes mountains at an elevation of 1200 meters (4.000 feet) is located at the perfect environment for the growing of grapes that deliver complex quality wines. The winery is quite modern with the latest technology imported from France and Italy and presents a distinctive architecture design. Production capacity is around 1.600.000 bottles of wines coming from grapes of their own estate, and grown and bottled at the property. The property extends over 130 hectares planted with the finest varieties.
