When does the competition start and how long does it go on for?

The competition begins on the 1st December 2010 and ends the 1st May 2011 at 12:00 GMT+3.

Which nationalities can take part?

The competition is exclusively for bloggers from the following countries:

• USA
• Canada
• UK
• Brazil
• Mexico
• Peru
• Colombia

We will soon be holding more competitions for other countries.

I’ve written my post. How do I enter?

Once you’ve written and published a blog post about the theme of the month, you need to fill in the link to your post and your contact details on the form on the website. The jury will view the post and judge it on the creativity with which you’ve approached the theme. The winners will be named on the site at the start of each month.

What features must my post have?

To have a chance of winning, it is important that the information about Argentina and its wines contained in your post is correct and that your writing, and any images, audio or visual content you’ve included be entertaining and informative. You can use information you’ve found on the internet so long as you cite the source.

How are the winners chosen?

Each month’s winners are chosen on the quality of their publications. Once your post has been entered you’ll receive an email confirming that it has been received. If the article contains errors or the content is not associated with the announced theme of the month it will be discarded by the jury.

Who are the jury?

The jury is made up of Joe Robert, a recognized blogger at http://www.1winedude.com, Paz Levinson, recently named the Best Argentinian Sommelier 2010 and Aldo Graziani, a wine expert at the blog http://catasenvivo.blogspot.com and for Wines of Argentina, http://winesofargentina.org, the organizers of this competition.

How do I find out if I’ve won?

At the start of each month, the winner of Blogger of the Month will be published on the microsite. On winning, you’ll automatically be entered along with the winning blogs from the other months for the main prize: a trip to Argentina. The Blogger of the Month staff will be in contact with each blogger who sends in posts, and especially the Bloggers of the Month who have been entered for the trip to Argentina. The choice of the winner of the trip to Argentina from the winning blogs will be made by the jury on the 6th September 2011, time TBC. The result will also be published on the website. The winning blogs will be judged on their quality and the number of votes each article receives on the site, as well as each blogger’s interaction with and enthusiasm for Argentinian wine and the wine community throughout the length of the competition.

What is the prize?

The prize consists of a week’s trip to Argentina (economy class) for one person. You’ll visit Mendoza and another wine producing region (to be confirmed). The flights, lodging and food (lunch and dinner) are all included.

Can I enter more than once?

You can enter once a month for all the months that you want. The more times you enter the more likely it is that you’ll be Blogger of the Month and have a chance of winning the trip to Argentina.
